**it happens

As a rookie, I learn so much more about analog photography each passing day. My current struggle is how to insert film roll rightly, so that my photos actually get taken.

In my last post, I mentioned a tragic story. Well, suspense’s over, here it goes:

Roughly two days before this year’s first snow, I set out to take some fall photos. I was quite satisfied with some and had big, big hope. The film roll not only contained the aforementioned photos, but also miscellaneous takes all through September and October. I was taking it slow with the roll to ensure a high quality end result.

Finally I made it till the end of roll and happily sent it to the lab. 5 days later, I got my baby back. The envelope was thinner than usual – a voice in the back of my head chimed in “uh-oh”. And I opened envelope to this-

/drum rolls/

It was funny and embarrassing at the same time. I know that this would happen to any photographer at least once. And now I’m glad that I’ve learned my lesson.

Cheers to all the photos that never got to see daylight. Cheers to more interesting analog adventures.

I hope you all had a nice weekend.
